14 Sep AUSTRALIA: Australia Launches On-Line Human Rights Materials for Schools
The Australia Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has made available a series of lessons and educational materials for schools that explore Australia’s democratic freedoms. The materials have been developed in conjunction with Cool Australia, an educational nonprofit. According to Rosalid Croucher, President of the AHRC, “this newest series of resources would support Australian teachers and students to deepen their understanding of the importance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and some of the other core elements that underpin the protection of rights and freedoms in Australia.”
