18 Mar BAHRAIN: Council of Representatives Hold Discussion on Human Rights
In celebration of the Arab Human Rights Day, the Bahraini Council of Representatives hosted a panel discussion on human rights. The event was attended by a wide range of governemnt and nGO representatives, including, Members of Parliament, Shura Council members, members of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), the UN Development Programmes (UNDP), the International Peace Institute, Middle East and North Africa (IPI,MENA), as well as representatives of ministries and departments related to human rights matters. The Education Ministry’s efforts to develop citizenship and human rights curricula was highlighted.
