FRANCE/MOROCCO/TUNISIA: Training Provided for Legal Professionals

With EU support, the Council of Europe (CoE) Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) Program provided training for trainers of legal professionals from Tunisia and Morocco.  The training session was held at CoE headquarters in Strasbourg, France. The training is part of the CoE’s  “Ensuring sustainable democratic governance and human rights in the Southern Mediterranean” (South Program III).  According to Amélie Lépinard of the CoE’s Directorate General of Programs, South Program III, “provides for specific regional activities aimed at contributing to the strengthening of human rights. The training of legal professionals, who are at the forefront of protection mechanisms for these rights, is an important component.”
