INDIA: Seminar Focuses on the Conjunction of Globalization, Environment and Human Rights

As reported by the Times of India, a two-day national seminar on the interesting and relevant combination of Globalization, Environment and Human Rights was held recently at the Panjab University.  Dr Gurmeet Singh, chairperson of the Hindi Department and coordinator of the seminar, commented on the multidisciplinary approach of the seminar as follows.  “”The seminar became a platform to approach the theme of Globalization, Environment and Human Rights from an interdisciplinary perspective as it saw participation from departments including Hindi, Environmental Studies, Centre for Human Rights, Political science, English, Library Sciences, Botany, Public Administration and Interdisciplinary Centre for Swami Vivekananda Studies.”
