The current issue of Education Week, an on-line magazine for the education industry, includes an article on techniques for teaching human rights.  Guest Blogger Marissa Gutierrez-Vicario writes, “never has there been a greater moment to teach about, uphold, and promote human rights education in the classroom or during afterschool programming.”  Among her suggestions are the following: 1.) make language accessible, 2.) include visual aids, 3.) encourage in storytelling, 4.) use art, 5.) invite action.
