BANGLADESH: New Class of Human Rights Scholars

A new class was welcomed to the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh South Asian Institute of Advanced Legal and Human Rights Studies (UMSAILS) LLM at the University of Asia Pacific.  Twenty-two scholars from fifteen different public and private universities in the South Asia region were admitted to the program. Dr. Kamal Hossain, Senior Advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court, delivered the welcoming speech.  According to thedailystar.net, Dr. Hossain “highlighted the need for legal and human rights education on South Asian perspective and expressed his contentment by entrusting the Department of Law & Human Rights of UAP for offering LLM courses with concentration on Human Rights.”
