Hugh Starkey, PhD, Professor of Citizenship and Human Rights Education, University College London (UCL) and Audrey Ostler, PhD, Professor Emerita University of Leeds, UK, and Co-director International Conference on Education and Democratic Citizenship, two leading experts on the subject of human rights education (HRE), have invited 12 scholars from throughout the globe to join them in constituting an HRE network.  All of the scholars are members of the Human Rights Education Review editorial board. According to an abstract on the World Education Research Association (WERA), “The first objective … is to develop a community and draw on each other’s work. We will arrange a series of webinars studying texts by our members. We will also compile a state-of-the-art review in the form of a global annotated bibliography of human rights education organized by members’ specialized topics.”
