OHIO: University Names Director of Human Rights Center

The University of Dayton has named a new Executive Director of the University’s Human Rights Center.  Shelley Inglis is an experienced Human Rights campaigner with 15 years of experience with the United Nations.  She currently manages the U.N. Development Program in Istanbul supporting U.N. programs building democratic governance institutions and human rights in Europe and Central Asia.   The University of Dayton is a pioneer in human rights education. It started the country’s first undergraduate human rights program in 1998 and offered one of the nation’s first bachelor’s degrees in human rights studies in 2008.
