The Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs encourages Pakistani police officers to adopt courteous and polite behavior during their duty.

PAKISTAN: Seminar in Human Rights Provided to Police Officers

A two-day seminar for police officials, “Friendly Role of Police and Protection of Human Rights of Citizens,” has been sponsored by Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) in collaboration with the Human Rights and Minority Affairs Department.  30 police officials of inspector and sub-inspector ranks attended the seminar in Lahore. Ijaz Alam Augustine, Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs, told the participants, “police should adopt courteous and polite behavior during their duty and augment the prestige of the department by protecting property and lives of the people.”
