07 Dec Human Rights training for teachers in Kurdistan-Iraq
KURDISTAN REGION OF IRAQ: United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) Human Rights Office (HRO) organized a three day seminar for teachers on enhancing human rights education. The training was developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq with financial support provided by the Government of Flanders. According to ReliefWeb the “sessions focused on developing teachers’ expertise with regard to human rights concepts and terminologies, including women’s and children’s rights, as well as methods of teaching and preparing lessons on human rights values and principles.”
