09 Nov CHILE: Human Rights Educator Receives Fellowship
A Chilean educator and human rights advocate has joined the faculty of Keene State College through a Global Fellowship program in partnership with the Auschwitz Institute of Peace and Reconciliation. Back home, Patricia Fernandez Perez Valdes works to educate the Chilean public through the museum of memory and human rights. She is quoted as saying, “In Chile, we need to do a better job of educating our citizens about humanitarian crimes so that we can stop them from happening again. My experience through the fellowship at Keene is giving me new ideas to accomplish this goal.”
