05 Dec PAKISTAN: School Board to Comply With Court Ordered Human Rights Curriculum
Education Secretary Qazi Shahid Pervaiz informed the Sindh High Court (SHC) on progress toward compliance with a 2013 court order to incorporate human rights education into the school curriculum. The court order has yet to be complied with. According to a report in thenews.com, “the education secretary told the SHC that the curriculum council … will convene a meeting this month to discuss the details of the court order and, to comply with it, hopefully introduce a comprehensive chapter on human rights in Pakistan Studies.”
