27 Mar NEW YORK: Bingham University Announces Master’s Program in Human Rights
Bingham University has announced plans to offer a Master of Science in Human Rights degree. The degree is the first of its kind in the State university of New York system. In the announcement, Suzy Lee, program director of the M.S. in Human Rights and associate professor of human development at Binghamton, is quoted as saying, “a few years ago, momentum began to build for the Binghamton University campus to become a major center for human rights. … A number of human rights-oriented research and teaching initiatives were in development, including the Human Rights Institute. A graduate degree in human rights provided a necessary component of this innovative work initiative.”
