19 Jun UNITED STATES: Youth Group Supplies Materials for Human Rights Education
Youth for Human Rights International, a Church of Scientology affiliate, has made available program materials for teaching young people about Human Rights. The materials include books, pamphlets, videos and posters that illustrate each of the 30 human rights set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The materials in 27 different languages are made available to teachers free of charge. Erica Rodgers, National Director of Youth for Human Rights International describes the work of her organization as follows, “while other organizations are working to handle the aftermath of human rights abuses already committed, we are working to prevent the abuses from happening in the first place through broad scale education of the 30 basic human rights.”
