30 Jun UNITED KINGDOM: Quakers Offer New Human Rights Educational Packs
Independent Catholic News (ICN) reports on a new educational pack produced by Quakers in Britain. Titled Razor Wire and Olive Branches, the educational materials are designed for classroom use by students aged 14 to 18 years. The packs contain more than 80 educational activities and resources and are based upon eye-witness accounts by human rights monitors of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Speaking of the program, Hayle Davies, Human Rights Education Officer for Amnesty International UK has said, “It’s a fantastic resource, with thought-provoking, experiential learning and empathy building activities. There are opportunities for young people to get creative and express their message for peace and human rights, … .”
