09 Mar MEXICO: Scientology Youth Education Conference
Youth for Human Rights, a Church of Scientology affiliate, opened its annual World Education Tour with a conference hosted by the government of the Nayarit State of Mexico. The event was held in the Pueblo Theater with more than 1600 in attendance. Antonio Echevarria Garcia, the governor of Nayarit delivered the opening address. According to digitaljournal.com, “the governor urged [the Nayarit] Congress to incorporate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in the state’s Constitution and make human rights education compulsory in the state’s schools.”
