INDIA – Over one hundred thousand students in India have signed a petition urging the inclusion of Human Rights in the school curriculum, according to an article in The Times of India. The memorandum read in part, “knowledge of human rights is essential for us to understand and access our rights both as children and when we grow up. The schools become the best spaces where our human rights education can begin.”
