CANADA:

A first ever “Stand Up for Human Rights Conference” took place in the central Alberta town of Red Deer.  Several hundred students attended. The event was about more than just teaching about human rights. According to event organizer, Student Ambassador Logan Garbanewski, “we believe it’s important to empower kids to become human rights champions. We would like to see a future focused around a better world for everybody, so if we can equip our youth with the proper tools to do that, we should start now.”
