19 Feb CANADA: High Schoolers Learn by Writing Children’s’ Books
B’nai Birth Canada is sponsoring a program to teach human rights to high school students. High school students are encouraged to enter the Diverse Minds Creative Writing Competition by writing and illustrating an original book for elementary school children. The books must tell a story of tolerance and inclusion. Winners of the completion will be awarded a cash prize. Daniel Koren, a spokesperson for B’nai Birth said, “As a human rights organization, we’d like these students to become active human rights role models; that’s what we’re hoping to accomplish.”
