INDIA: University Students Teach Human Rights to Villagers

The Telegraph informs of a university that has adopted three villages to, among other things, teach human rights.  The Central University of South Bihar (CUSB). The CUSB team visited the villages to distribute special rice paddy seeds.  Books and stationary items are also distributed to the villages’ children. Importantly, villagers are also taught about human rights.  According to Dipak Kumar, a CUSB student, “the villagers are also educated about various law and provisions such as human rights, right to service, right to information and right to education, which can safeguard their interests.”
