28 Jan KIRIBATI: Teachers Attend Human Rights Workshop
A workshop on human rights and responsibilities was recently presented to teachers and teacher assistants. The workshop was presented by the Pacific Community’s (SPC) Regional Rights Resource Team (RRRT) under the Pacific Partnership to End Violence Against Women and Girls program with funding provided by the European Union (EUR 12.7m) and the Australian Government. SPC RRRT Pacific Partnership Program Manager, Mr Nilesh Goundar, stated, “Social Citizenship is about equipping school students and young people with the skills to be able to make good, considered decisions, work collaboratively and peacefully, and think critically and creatively to ensure the sustainable future of our Pacific countries.”
