PANAMA: UNICF Inaugurates Human Rights Game App for Kids

The United nations International Children’s Relief Fund (UNICEF) has inaugurated a mobile game application designed to teach children human rights.  Named Right Runner, the game seeks to inspire, inform and empower children. According to Bernt Aasen, Regional Director of UNIEF for Latin America, “the most memorable way children and young people can learn about their rights is by playing.”  He goes on to explain, “thirty years after the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, this new mobile app provides children and young people with a fun, innovative and interactive tool to empower them to become agents of change on issues that affect them.”  The game is available for free from Apple Store and Google Play.
