13 Apr THE GAMBIA: Youth for Human Rights Meets With Gambian President, Officials
The Youth for Human Rights The Gambia country coordinator Nfamarah Jawneh, and the Youth for Human Rights International President Dr. Mary Shuttleworth have met with President Adama barrow and several other government officials in The Gambia, including, the Minister of Education, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, the Minister of Youth and Sports and the National Youth Council. The purpose of the meeting was to brief the officials on the Youth for Human Rights, a youth organization affiliated with the Church of Scientology. According to an article in the Chicago Daily News, “The Executive Director of The Gambia National Youth Council, Mr. Lamin Darboe, praised the Youth for Human Rights educational materials, saying they make the Universal Declaration of Human Rights very easy for youth to understand.”
