25 Oct PAKISTAN: Human Rights Course for University Considered
The possibility of incorporating a course in human rights at the Sindh Madrassatul Islam University (SMIU) in Karachi has been suggested. According to theNews.com Dr Shireen Mazari, Minister of Human Rights, has tweeted, “Met with Vice Chancellor Sindh Madrassatul Islam University, Karachi, Dr. Muhammad Ali Sheikh. Discussed the possibility of starting Human Rights courses at the SMIU.” The author of the article discusses human rights education as “imperative” and “inevitable.” Pakistan Today also reported on the development.
